Job Description: The Program Specialist II is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of a Recreational Therapist. Key Responsibilities include: Demonstrate responsibility for observation and application of sound judgment in patient's physical and mental condition/needs.
Observe and document changes in patient's appearance, behavior, and ability to work towards treatment plan goals. Communicate changes in patient's condition to Charge Nurse or Recreational Therapist. Provides assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreational skills development/deficiency.

Licensure: Preferred certification by state and/or national governing body in the following applicable areas: art, recreation, occupation, or music therapy, if applicable.
