LAYIQ - Structural Bridge Engineering Specialist at STV

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Engineer-in-Training certification, or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable period after joining STV.
Working knowledge of AASHTO, AISC, and ACI design codes.
Foundational knowledge of structural analysis and the behavior and design of steel and reinforced concrete.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technical tools.
Clear verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
Additional Qualifications That Will Help You Succeed: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
FHWA-NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges certification.
An understanding of structural analysis and the design of prestressed concrete structures.
Experience with structural analysis and design software such as OpenBridge Designer, LARSA, LEAP Bridge, CSiBridge, and STAAD.
Experience contributing to Department of Transportation projects and familiarity with design manuals and standards.
Experience using bridge and roadway design platforms such as OpenBridge Modeler, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
Exposure to field assignments, construction support, or evaluation of existing structures.
