LAYIQ - Senior Fluid and Propulsion Design Engineer – Human Rated Crewed Lunar Lander at Blue Origin

B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
10+ years of experience designing tubes, fluid components, secondary structure, etc.
5+ years of experience generating 3D models and drawings in Creo for complex fluid hardware
Experience releasing model based designs
Demonstrated ability to mentor entry level engineers
Experience performing structural hand calculations and analysis with tools such as ANSYS.
Experience interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Expertise in ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired: Demonstrated ability working with a team of engineers and drafters to maintain alignment on large scale engineering artifact release
Knowledge of standard installation and fabrication methods of COPVs, fluid components, and tubes
Experience designing propulsion test fixtures and tooling
Experience with hypergol or helium systems
Experience working on human-rated vehicles
Experience with static and non-linear FEA analysis (ANSYS)
Advanced Engineering degree
Base Pay Range for: CO applicants is $133,500.00 - $186,898.95
WA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
