ABOUT THE ROLE:
The General Counsel is a hands-on role at the intersection of law, compliance, and public policy. You will be the company's primary in-house legal advisor, serve as its designated Compliance Officer, own our relationships with state regulators and lottery commissions, and lead our government affairs efforts as we grow into new states and products. Jackpot.com operates primarily in the US, with a UK holding company and affiliates in Malta and Serbia.
As the group's legal officer, you will oversee legal matters across all entities, working with local counsel outside the US.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Data Officer, you will work closely with the executive team, growth, product, marketing, finance, and operations. This role suits someone with a startup mentality who moves quickly, takes ownership, and looks for practical ways to get to yes. We also want someone who embraces AI and is excited to use it to help a lean legal team do more.
