Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher for a full-time position at a school in Somerville, MA, supporting K-3 elementary students in a resource room setting. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), utilizing effective teaching strategies tailored to each child's unique learning style, and fostering a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement IEPs for students
• Provide specialized instruction in foundational skills to students with varying abilities
• Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance the learning experience
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Must have an MA Teachers license.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to the growth and success of all students.
