LAYIQ - General Technician at Embry-Riddle

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
High school-level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and mathematics, or equivalent GED-level proficiency.
One to three years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
General construction or maintenance experience.
Solid knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and their proper use.
OSHA 10 certification.
Aerial lift training.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, recognize potential hazards, and adhere to applicable safety procedures.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain a consistent work pace, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Additional Position Requirements
Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, and pushing or pulling equipment and materials.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, and indoor and outdoor settings.
Availability to assist with campus emergencies, closures, and snow and ice removal as needed.
Ability to operate a university vehicle safely and report observed maintenance needs.
