- Location: Remote mining camp near Winnemucca, Nevada
- Work Schedule: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off, 12-hour shifts (seasonal)
- Employment Eligibility: Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Matrix is seeking a hands-on Assistant Camp Maintenance Manager to support daily camp upkeep, repairs, preventive maintenance, and site logistics. The role works alongside crews and helps the Camp Maintenance Manager keep facilities, equipment, and operations ready while following site safety procedures.
The successful candidate will have basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical knowledge and be prepared for physical outdoor work in Nevada heat, sun, dust, and wind. Intermediate First Aid, a PAL licence, a valid driver’s licence, and MSHA certification or the ability to obtain it before assignment are required. Preference will be given to candidates near Winnemucca.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities (Essential)
Assist with camp maintenance operations: support daily cleaning, laboring, minor repairs, and camp upkeep.
Facilities & mechanical support: assist with maintaining/troubleshooting generators, plumbing/water systems, electrical components, pumps, and general site systems (basic HVAC/ventilation support as applicable).
