LAYIQ - Certified Medical Assistant (MA) - Urology Clinic at Mercy

Room patients and obtain vital signs
Assist physicians and APPs with patient care and procedures
Prepare and maintain instruments and clinical equipment
Prepare and stock exam rooms
Perform point-of-care testing
Complete medication reconciliation and administer injections as appropriate
Assist with basic in-basket messages and medication refill requests
Complete documentation and scanning
Communicate patient needs and updates with physicians and APPs
Assist with appointment scheduling and medical record requests
Enter diagnostic and ancillary orders
Follow HIPAA, OSHA, PPE, quality, and safety standards

Outpatient specialty clinic with frequent patient interaction

Regular collaboration with physicians, APPs, and other members of the care team
Use of clinical equipment and electronic medical records
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform job duties
