LAYIQ - Administrative Manager-Police Dept. -City of Fresno at Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline:
Four (4) years of professional, administrative, managerial, operations, budgetary or similar experience.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years.
Applicants must attach a copy of degree for verification of educational requirements.
Possession of a valid California Driver's License may be required at time of appointment.
Selected eligible candidates who are certified will be required to successfully complete and pass a Department interview, an extensive background investigation, a Computer Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA) and/or polygraph examination, and a Department of Justice fingerprint check before being employed by the City of Fresno. Providing false information or failing to meet any of these requirements will result in disqualification from further consideration in the selection process.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Department Director is seeking a strong manager who is innovative, has the ability and skills to successfully empower employees to succeed, and has the ability to plan for the future needs of the department. A background that includes four years of professional, administrative, managerial, operations, budgetary or similar experience, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field will be considered qualifying for this position.
Experience working within a public agency is desirable.
