We are currently seeking an EKG Technologist to join our Cardiology Laboratory team. This role is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced oncology setting.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. EKG and holter monitor experience are preferred. Must demonstrate flexibility in work schedule to meet department and patient care needs.
Shift
: 10-hour shift - varied weekday with rotating weekend and holidays

Summary
The primary purpose of the EKG Technologist position is to perform cardiology diagnostic procedures.
Essential Key Functions
Performs diagnostic tests to include electrocardiography (EKG)s, signal average EKGs and Holter monitor hook-ups. Process 30-day Event monitor enrollment. Assists physicians during procedures as needed. Assist patients with preparation for test procedures. Interact with patients and families by comforting and giving constant attention to their welfare. Calibrates and prepares equipment for use. Evaluates validity of patients' data and test results, as well as processing charges.
Comply with lab policies, technical procedures, safety rules and infection control policies. Performs additional duties as assigned by Chief Cardiovascular Technologist or designee.
EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma/equivalent.
Preferred: Technical training in cardiopulmonary-related healthcare field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: One year of experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred: One year of experience in a healthcare setting; prefer EKG and holter monitor experience.
CERTIFICATION
This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
