LAYIQ - Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration at Walmart

Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
Competence in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely.
Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical issues and collaborate with teams and customers.
Experience leading or mentoring technicians and managing service calls using digital tools.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
