Franciscan Surgery Center — Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
• Schedule: No weekends / No holidays
• Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Must have: Operating Room (OR) experience
What you will do:
Practice nursing according to organizational nursing philosophies and standards of care set by the state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing regulations.
Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, friends, and coworkers.
Collaborate with patients, families (and/or primary caregivers), and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and an improved patient experience.
Assess, collect, and analyze comprehensive objective, subjective, psychosocial, and cultural data relevant to patient condition.
Prioritize and implement the identified plan of care; coordinate care delivery and employ interventions to improve patient outcomes while maintaining a safe, respectful, and ethical practice environment.
Communicate timely changes in patient assessment and ongoing reassessment to providers when changes warrant consideration or adjustment to the plan of care; maintain and coordinate communication with all multidisciplinary team members to facilitate safe transitions and continuity of care.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by handling and clearing instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with infection-control policies and protocols.
May maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock and outdated items to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, and placing orders for required inventory.

Qualifications:
Required: Associate's Degree
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association (required if specified by the unit; otherwise preferred)
Previous Operating Room experience
