Job Description
K&S Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations for our transportation, warehouse, and industrial recycling departments.
The ideal candidate is a confident HR professional with strong employee relations, Illinois employment law, workplace investigations, and compliance experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage hiring, onboarding, employee relations, discipline, and terminations.
Conduct workplace investigations and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure compliance with Illinois and federal employment laws.
Oversee employee files, handbook policies, and performance management.
Coordinate DOT/FMCSA driver documentation and safety compliance.
Review payroll, compensation agreements, attendance, and wage practices.
Manage workers' compensation administration and employee claims.
Partner with management to improve accountability and employee retention.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
Experience in transportation, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial operations.
Strong knowledge of Illinois employment laws and HR compliance.
Proven experience handling investigations, discipline, and terminations.
Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.
