A job can look relevant and still be a poor use of time if the posting is stale, vague, duplicated, or internally inconsistent. Freshness and confidence signals are meant to make that risk visible before you invest in an application.
| Signal | Stronger evidence | Weaker evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Freshness | Recent posting or recently verified source | Old posting, repost with unclear date, or source no longer available |
| Specificity | Clear responsibilities, requirements, location, and compensation | Generic role description with few concrete details |
| Consistency | Title, scope, requirements, and work mode agree | Title says one thing while responsibilities suggest another |
| Source quality | Direct employer or stable job source | Aggregated copy with missing or changed details |
When evidence is weak, Layiq should be more cautious. That does not always mean the job is bad. It means the system should explain that the available information does not support a high-confidence recommendation yet.
